SS2, Petaling Jaya Night Market

Night market/Pasar Malam is one of hot spots for Malaysians to go as there are endless streets of malaysian food and goods, which are all priced affordably. People usually go there for dinner or after dinner, to walk around the bustling night market while enjoying snacks and drinks on hand. My favourite Night market is in SS2, Petaling Jaya and its only available every Monday. In this write up, Im going to show you some of my personal best food choices which I’m keen to buy whenever I'm here. 

#1 Asam Laksa 

My No.1 choice in the SS2 Pasar Malam. Its a lorry that sells Asam Laksa & Mee Rebus!

Their portion is quite big as compared to most of the shops lots out there. YUMMM!

#2 Salted Egg Chicken or Squid

Salted Egg Yolk goes perfectly with everything from Snacks to dessert. Mao Mao Ultraman sells the best choice of Salted Egg Chicken or Squid in the SS2 Night Market. Its finger licking good! Look for the an Ultraman Mascot displayed infront of the stall, and you will find it !

#3 Goreng Pisang and Cempedak

This uncle sells the sweetest Goreng Cempedak !! It has the perfect blend between sweet and savoury, definitely recommend!!
Price : 6 for RM10 (Cempedak), 5 for RM10 (Goreng Pisang)

    

#4 Golden Sweet Potato Ball

Cant describe how good this is! It’s Sweet yet chewy at the same time, definitely feels like I’m eating a larger version of the boba pearl.. One of the “MUST BUY” snacks that I would buy every time I go! It brings the flavours of Taiwan street market to Malaysia :P

#5 Peanut Pancake

Fluffy peanut pancake always has a special place in my heart. Especially the crispy part at the edge of the pancake. Yumzzz

#6 Assorted Kueh Mueh

Kueh muehs are a huge part of Malaysian culture and we would often enjoy them during tea time or sometimes even as breakfast too. Pick up a variety of affordable colourful kueh muehs at the SS2 pasar malam and enjoy them as you stroll through the night market.

#7 Curry/Tomyam Fishball/Meatball

This is also one of the famous choices among Malaysians upon visiting the night market as it is cheap and serve best as a “snack” or handy food to carry along and munch to upon sight seeing the other stalls. It is also very cheap and affordable, not to mention that it is also very tasty!!
